Hmmmmm? Seeing as there are some listings that go back as far as Sep 5, 2004 which appear to be only taking up space on the site, shouldn't we purge a few of them? Just a thought, as I see people responding to some of these ancient listings that have long since been fulfilled... JB

Well, I'm not sure about how to do this, but I'll look into it. Linda, any suggestings?

Only my opinion here, but... What about anything older than six months?!?!?

I resemble that remark.
I just found a buyer by refreshing a year-old post. Are you just talking about purging for-sale items?

Just an idea, but maybe one year with no responses would be a good cutoff.... then things like Phil's annual Dacor diaphragm hunt can just be updated, but more than a year with no response it's probably either solved or overdue for a new look.
Respectfully,
James

I think there are only three of us who can do this, and there are 71 pages of these entries. I don't think there is an automated way either to o this. This sort of thing simply isn't in my priority list. I'd much rather spend the time on my Canon F-1N/Ikelite housing/Strobe system than sorting through 71 pages here. Isn't it enough for people to simply look at dates and say to themselves, "This is too old to pursue"?

I’ll see if there’s a quick way to do it. Image hosting space here is limited, and full as you know, so if any of them are using that, it would help to delete them. Otherwise it doesn’t really matter — no space limits on posts. I can see removing ones that are 10 and 15 years old, certainly! But since the space isn’t really an issue, we could leave anything else. I think six months is too short. Anyway, I’ll look into it!

Okay, I looked, and it’s easy to delete a page at a time. Obviously I’m not going to take the time to go through each and every post to see if it contains anything of particular interest, but I can go to the very end and work backwards, and delete a few pages. 😊
