Gosh, we just watched this one on Amazon Prime--stinky good fun! For those of you who love US Divers gear this is your film: there were so many USD boxes that just happened to be laying around on various scenes, they must have helped sponsor the film--REALLY! JB

Wow, a lot of really recognizable faces, Brian Kelly, Lloyd Bridges, Shirley Eaton, David McCallum, Gary Merrill...wow!
Also, some Calypso regulators in use.

Ever since seeing this sub off the interstate outside of Miami, I’ve had a fondness for this movie. I recently found a clip on YT showing it being launched in ‘55. Notice at the beginning of the clip the bow only has one small viewport. Later in the clip the sub had the large rectangular viewports, like we see in the movie. I’ve collected a few other thing about the Cetacean and since they’re at the shop, I’ll post them tomorrow.

This was recently posted on a Facebook Submersibles group page, so I took a screenshot to archive it here with the other Cetacean images.
