Would like to purchase or make trades for J or K Sportsways valves. The type needed have straight threads that measure 3/4" OD, and seal to cylinder with o-ring. Also would consider a doubles manifold of same type.
I have various new and used manifolds for sale, or trade toward above valves.

Just a little clarification for me please. A standard modern scuba tank rated for less than 3500 psi will have a valve with 3/4" - 14 NPT . If you measure that valve with your calipers, it comes out to just over 1" .
Sportsways did market a scuba tank with a smaller neck opening and a corresponding smaller valve. As usual, either way, I think I got what you need. Shoot me a message and we'll work it out.

Good Dives, Charlie Charlie, thanks for your response to my quest for a valve, and yes that photo is the one I am looking for. Pipe thread sizing causes a fair amount of confusion due to it being a reference to the nominal inside diameter of pipe (and it's not always really accurate about that), instead of the outside diameter. So as you noticed, the 3/4 straight pipe thread used on most modern Scuba cylinders is noticeably larger than the size designation. The NPT designation refers to a tapered thread, and straight pipe threads like the valve you mention is designated NPS. To add to the confusion, the older Sportsways valve that is much smaller, and sealed by oring is technically not a pipe thread, but a 3/4" SAE straight thread... designating the actual size. Crazy, huh? I'll send a message and see if we can work something out. Bill

Charlie, haven't heard back from you and not sure you got my message about the valve. The one you show is what I'm looking for. ??

Bill, I know Charlie gets busy sometimes, so be patient: he's sometimes asked to do some crazy stuff... "OK, so we're raising the boat from how deep of water?" JB

White Stag was headquartered in Portland, Oregon. . I know as my aunt Billie Conklin worked there, and I got my first custom wetsuit from White Stage at her discount. John

JB Nice of you to think that I must be working. We've had a flat ocean at the beginning of crab season, so I've been staisfying my saline addiction. 20211112_125121 by Charlie will, on Flickr Good Dives, Charlie

I hope we can clear up the still continuing confusion over the Sportsways valve thread size and designation. It's been going on for 50 years that I know of, when I first ran into the tanks and valves in question. I'll start a new "thread" about threads soon. I probably should brush up on my facts to be sure I don't goof this up.
