I am looking to purchase an original Nemrod band clamp ring if anyone has a spare one for sale.

A USD replacement ring will work, if we're talking about a double hose regulator. Rob has them at TheScubaMuseum.com.

I have a USD replacement for it but I really like the original Nemrod ones and that’s why I was looking for that. I’ve actually gone so far as looking at the one on fleabay that has the stripped out low pressure opening and purchasing that as both spare parts and a replacement ring. I know, I have a problem . . . I’m trying to deal with it. My wife keeps threatening interventions.

Figured, but thought to mention it. There's a thread on here that has a list of USD parts that will fit the Snark/Silvers.
BTW, Rob at TheScubaMuseum.com just showed me silicone exhaust mushrooms for the Nemrod DHrs he had made. More sweet, sweet love for the Nemrod enthusiast. I think they're up on his site.

That Silver on eBay would be a pricey parts reg.... Nice hose loop though. Definitely the silicone ones. They're sorta silvery black. That's worth something. They'll last longer than you.

I’ve got to send an order in to him anyways and I’ll probably snag a few of those for extras. There has been a rejuvenation lately on the Snarks. I’ve noticed they are getting harder to come by. I’m an absolute sucker for the damned things.

They have a coolness factor that's off the charts. Too bad they sit so high.

I’ve found a steel 80 or AL 63 helps lower their profile. With that they sit better.

Well, you can lower the profile a bunch by turning the body in the can, but then the venturi ports are directed the wrong way... but someone like this Phil guy we know could probably find a work-around for that. Hmm, maybe I could plug the existing ports and drill some new ones. I might try that.

How about mounting it upside down on the tank?

A couple of things about mounting the Snark III upside down, that may work on a single tank, but probably not on a set of doubles with the center post down.
The other thing is that the Venturi is a real problem. Reorienting the box will cause all sorts of problems with breathing performance, as the Venturi goes into the box, just like the ol’ DA Aqualung. Trying to re-orient the Venturi probably is not worth the effort.

Hmm, maybe I could plug the existing ports and drill some new ones. I might try that. A bit of JB Weld will plug the jets. But this is a mod that is going to permanently alter the regulator body. The "nozzle" is machined into the body and is not removable. The earlier models, those with the multi-part second stage poppet, have 3 holes spread across the front half of the nozzle. The later ones with the spider poppet have two holes, large and small, and a groove is cut from the large one to direct air into the intake horn. I'd try to emulate the later jet, if I was going to do it. And do something like John's air director.
