I have a serious problem with trying to solve keeping old regs in the water..... and I think I cracked the code for the old Sportsways regs. On Mark's thread about his old sportsways I offered to take a crack at the diaphragms.... and hopefully monday I can send test articles to him. One diaphragm in super soft silicone (pictured below) and one in firmer silicone (more durable but less responsive). And, believe it or not, new exhaust T's! See if you can see my blunder in the pictures, lol. Future pours of the exhaust T will be in black (unless someone wants a different color). Tell me what you think. Respectfully, James

Looks great! Did you put the text on the inside?

Looks great! Did you put the text on the inside? Nope... But it is the text. I forgot to mirror it in the mold, so it now comes out backwards. I filled the lettering with mold release, but it still shows a little. That part of the mold is a 6 hour print.... So I'm not Shure if I want to redo it!

This begs the question... Could it be possible to make 2nd stage diaphragms for Healthways single hose regs in the future? Mark

Mark For the Sportsways there's a soft diaphragm, firmer diaphragm, and the above pictured exhaust T headed your way. Should be there Friday. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them!

Alright, it looks like the diaphragm and exhaust T will work. I have the blue one in there now, it seems that adjusting this 2nd stage is touchy? I had a difficult time getting it right where I could actually get the purge to work. It breaths just fine, but for some reason there is a small "zone" where the purge button works. So the lever is adjusted out about as much as I could. I think the blue diaphragm is the one to try first. But it fits just fine and think it is a go? See how it works this Summer in the water. Both diaphragms fit just fine... The exhaust T looks like it will work. I need to get a longer screw/nut set to work with the thicker silicone, the original was just too short to work and I am not going to put a zit-tie on this one if I can help it. Having said that, if I can save the original, I am going to have a go at it. Thanks again. Mark 278072670_5396804613704774_5553321016881529014_n by Mark Lodge, on Flickr
