I just watched this terrible film from 1979 called "Bog". There was a short part featuring two Divers with Dacor gear (Olympic 400 reg on one Diver, , Hawaiian tank pack on another). Film so bad, it is fun to watch. Mark

Ohhhh, gunna have to check it out! We've been on a Canadian-film jag as of late: it seems as though Canadians find their own country so boring that a lot of their action films are supposed to take place in the States, "Gosh, let's have a 10-magnitude earthquake in California..." or, "Let's have Yellowstone Caldera erupt and destroy the world..." Or, maybe it's just that they hate us, all in good fun Did you know that Alberta, BC is a major filming location for international films, absolutely beautiful place!!!! JB

I've seen my share of decent/mediocre 1970's-1980's Canadian horror films! When Covid first hit us hard where I live and had four days off in a row for the first time in years with bugger-all to do, I'd wake up at 4AM and watch a budget 70's horror film. "Humanoids From the Deep" sticks out as one of my favourites. Mark

"Bog" is bad...but it has a charm and is a late-70's time capsule of sorts. I love films set in a wilderness area in that time frame. Mark

Aldo Ray was a fixture at the bars in Crockett, CA up until his death in 1990 or so. He destroyed his career and his health with his drinking, and died in his mid sixties.

I don't remember the dive gear, but I did see this film: I just watched the first five minutes... Just as soon as I saw the name Aldo Rey, it all came back to me like a bad smell. Here's Mr. Rey from 1972: Mark, have you seen, "The Legend of Boggy Creek" 1972? Boy, that one scared the crud outta me when I was a young'n: Of course, at that time, I also thought Evel Knievel was a great guy too... Jaybird

We just started watching another Canadian Film, called... "Stonehenge Apocalypse" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonehenge_Apocalypse" An ancient prophecy comes to pass when archaeologists unearth an Egyptian chamber 10,000 feet below ground in Maine USA, sparking a devastating electromagnetic pulse that triggers Stonehenge and, in turn, sends destructive shockwaves around the globe.
When the Aztec pyramids crumble and the stones take on a life of their own, a renegade radio host, a team of scientists, and a team of British commandos race to prevent the same force responsible for creating life on Earth from cleansing the planet in order to herald the dawn of a new age."
To quote my wife, "I didn't think it was possible to be this bad". JB

Plan 9 was campy, but truly bad is the 1970 Joan Crawford film "Trog." I remember seeing it at the theater when it first came out. It was the second film of a double feature (remember those?)

Om my... "TROOOOOOOOOG!" Did you know that Joan Crawford was married to a Pepsi exec at the time, which is why you have the gratuitous product placement of said item? He my have been dead by then, but she was trying to leverage her star power so that she take over his position Truly an infamous film JB
