That curly-mop of hers made my heart go pitty-pat, nice lookin' lady! JB JB, I don’t know many, even PJs, who would try that without a parachute! John

This was a barnstorming style stunt, not a "rescue". Pretty amazing though.

JB, you might be the only one that would appreciate this almost-non-diving post, so this is for you. ![](https://i.imgur.com/HBgtm0M.png) "I'm so hungry I could eat dirt!" Just to make things worse, this was found near some suspected dinosaur bone fossils, and one amateur paleontologist thinks this could be a curly dinosaur poop. So, I hope this gives you a smile too.

JB,
That was great. I saw this in a very short segment on the news recently, but this was a much better presentation. By the way, that is actually pretty close to you, I think.
Thanks,
John

As the Crow flies, it's 66-miles, but actual driving is 86-miles, and the traffic is poopoo-caca! Those thermal vents are very important to marine migration: so much feeds off the coast near Moss Landing. (BTW, Moss Landing is where Crabby Jim likes to take his boat out.) Off the coast of San Francisco, there are the Farallon Islands, and then further north is Cordell Bank, again more vital marine habitat for migration. Did you know there are Sperm Whales that feed in Cordell Bank? www.discovery.com/nature/sperm-whales-are-loud-enough-to-burst-your-eardrumsen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale_vocalizationJB

Is St. Nicholas Island a part of the Farallon Islands? I dove there as a PJ, and the USAF flew us there. We spent several days there, and it was great diving. I got some humungous abalone too! It is a Naval island that was used for bombing during WWII, and so is restricted for visitors. But wonderful diving!
