I have 2 VOIT REGULATORS One is the TRIESTE II and the other one is the SWIMMASTER. Can anyone tell me which one is the more desirable of the 2? Thanks, Dale

Please explain more about the "SWIMMASTER" regulator. The Trieste II is a good regulator, but needs some work to function to its design potential. But what is the model of the "Swimmaster" regulator?

;)Here is a link to what it looks like .http://www.vintagescubasupply.com/labsvoit.htmlThe correct spelling is swimaster. My Trieste does not have a blue face it is only chrome. I beleive the serial number is 0269. Please let me know if this helps. Dale

Dale, my Trieste doesn't have a blue face now either, but my back rubbed off the blue paint, and it is chrome. It probably was blue at one time. By the way, a serial number of 0269 is pretty low.
That link doesn't work to the other regulator. AMF Voit became Swimaster, but they built a number of different regulators. If you do have a regulator named "swimaster," it is a pretty rare one. Most likely, it is one of the following models: MR12, Titan II, Polaris II, or Little Gem III.

John: Go to The vintage Scuba Supply Home page and look under the heading Online Museum, scroll drown to "REGULATOR LABELS" ,then go to "Voit" and it is next to last at the bottom. Please let me know what you think. Would you know anyone that might have two Hookah Caps, as I purchased a few USD DH regulators and 2 are missing the caps? Thanks again, Dale

You might consider purchasing or making hookah LP adapters in place of the missing caps so you can run an octapus or other LP accessory. James

Dale,
The "Swimaster" is actually a Trieste, the original of this series. According to the text in the museum, it doesn't have a HP port, only an LP:
That would make, in my mind, the Trieste II the more desirable regulator. But the Trieste II had some problems that are probably present in both regs. I can summarize later, but the Trieste II, once these problems are fixed, is quite a regulator.

Actually AMF Voit didn't become Swimaster. The two names/lines were carried by the company until the demise of the lines. The Swimaster line was sold through dive shops. While the Voit line continued to be sold through other arenas such as Sears, JC Penney's, and local sporting good shops. I bought a ton of Voit marked gear from such sources back in the early 70's. The Swimaster marked items were always a bit "prettier", but had a higher price tag.
