Hello all. My name is Nick. I'm from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I am not, at this point, an experienced diver, but I have had a lifelong interest in scuba diving, diving tech, the historical progression of the tech, as well as navigating the practical realities of safely diving with vintage equipment. I'm also looking forward to talking to all of you who share these interests, and hopefully learning some useful stuff in the process.

Hi Nick, welcome--really! Please don't be afraid to ask questions here, no matter how trivial and unimportant you may delude yourself in to believing they are: they are important. My daddy was from Pittsburgh It's a very beautiful city, and being from the SF Bay Area, I don't say that too often My wife and I finally got to make it out there perhaps ten years ago. I'm sure you know the area, but we drove in a neighborhood that was on a hill, it was paved with very course cobbles, and the streets were unimaginably steep to the point where I still try to imagine how horses got up those hill in the snow back in the day The Cathedral of Learning was super boss, as was the Duquesne Incline. Oh, yeah, and I have an aunt who lives in Braddock: for those of you who've never heard of General Braddock, here ya go: Anyway, welcome aboard shipmate! Jaybird

Hi Nick,
As the person who suggested that you join up, I've already welcomed you, but let's make it official... Welcome to the forum!
You will find that posting photos here is a challenge (we've all suffered through it), but check out the tech section for tips!
Cheers, Phil
