Question:
Will a banjo work on heavy yoke RAM, or is it better to have a long yoke for a banjo?

Question: Will a banjo work on heavy yoke RAM, or is it better to have a long yoke for a banjo? I had Bryan at VDH rebuild an Aquamaster for me. I wanted a heavy yoke and he told me to get a long yoke because the banjo would not work with the heavy yoke. I'm working on a heavy yoke RAM right now. I can actually try it over the weekend if you want.

I tried putting my banjo on my round label RAM. This reg has a Conshelf style heavy yoke. The tank I used had a 70's ( black knob) USD K valve. I was able to use the banjo with this setup.

Is it correct to assume that it will not work with a modern standard 3K valve?

This is from The Scuba Museum. on a Heavy Yoke conversion. www.thescubamuseum.com/products/Heavy%20yoke%20for%20sale%20page.htm"This yoke will allow you to use modern higher pressure steel tanks with your Royal Aquamaster, Royal Master, Voit Navy, DA Aquamaster and many more. This yoke will not allow for the use of a banjo fitting. This yoke will allow for 4000 PSI service however...."
