I read that the US Divers company just laid off most of its US workers, and is moving operations overseas with a small US presence on the East Coast.
I'm sure it became very difficult to maintain a profitable business in the US. Everyone else is going overseas, so why not them? It's good that they changed their name to AquaLung a while back, as the U.S. part of US Divers would become pretty much a joke.
The end of an era, I guess?

For me, The #1 reference on Google when I search for US Divers is that they are a supplier of snorkels! WTF.

For me, The #1 reference on Google when I search for US Divers is that they are a supplier of snorkels! WTF. Apparently Aqualung has appropriated it's own "U.S. Divers" for its snorkeling gear. There is no mention of the parent company, U.S. Divers Company, by Aqualung. usdivers.com/pages/our-storyJohn
