Hello I never succed in macking a fine surface machining teflon or other soft plastic's . But there is a way if you can use a teflon plate that allready has one fine surface . First I'm looking for a surface with no scratsches and mark it . Then I'm milling this part of the plate from the backside to the needed length of the poppet . Next you need a zirkular saw with the inner diameter of the outer diameter from the poppet . Every steel is good enough for plastic . I simple buy a drill in a hartware shop that has drill's in fine gradations . The outer diameter is not critical . I prefere to make this diameter 1 - 2mm greater to come to a wall thickness from 0,5 - 1mm . With a file it is easy to make the teeth . Now drill your teflon from the good surface side and you have a perfect poppet . If your nozzle is good you will have only a low pressure drop of the IP compared to a poppet with rought surface . If you need a center hole you obviously have to drill it first . With the teflon clamped on the tabel of the mill or drill it's no problem to make the second diameter centrical to the first .
