Hello
Last weekend I dove for the first time with my R2, I was really interesting to test a regulator without ventury effect, today I dive with a R4 also the first time.
Clearly it's another world with the R4, if the ventury effect, is not so efficient that a DAAM, compare with the R2, the R4 was really comfortable, the inhalation was smooth, but not strong than a DAAM. Strangely I found the exhalation very easy with the R2, I thought that it s gone be as good , but in fact I must push harder to exhale than last week, even the exhaust diaphragm, was a new silicone made by James. In my opinion, it is may be the mushroom exhalation, that is a bit sticky, or strong. Because I hear the mushroom during all the dive when I exhale ( a sort vibration), that I haven't with the R2.
I will post photos, in next post

Mon ami, thanks for sharing with us on your exploration of American regulators: it looks like you're really enjoying yourself/having fun Is that a lake you're at, I'm very jealous/envious JB My friend, When I begin , in the wonderful world of the double hose regulators. I was so lonely. 😔( Here I am feeling like the last of the Mohican). (Thanks internet, to connect people, to sometimes exchange good things) 😄 So share my little experience. So other could have informations and advise. The US divers regulator are well known, but even other production that are not so efficient than a mistral or a royal aquamaster, these other regulators must be preserved, and used. Yesterday I make I very funny dive with fellows, and in normal breathing conditions the Dacor R4 was not bad, it is not the best, but I dive with this regulator again with pleasure, for chill dive. It is a little little lake, in a natural reserve, where diving is authorised, in Anvers, at 45 minutes from Brussels with car, not much fish a this time. Cheer's Fred

In Belgium and France, since middle 50's people only knows the mistral or royal mistral, ( me too before), when I purchase my first DH, I make research to find pieces, so I found VDH, TSM, and American DH,so "whaouw". And vinage scuba proboard.
I am happy to find , advise, and information, so normal that I share, I hope that it could help, or inspire a choice, or a double hose vocation 😄.
