Frank,
Look at your first stage and see whether you have a plug or a nozzel sitting against the second stage seat (the seat is there, as this is the same first stage as the Trieste). If it's a nozzel, you may only need to replace the seat/spring with one made for a lever system. I understand that at least some Titans were equipped with the nozzel, and not a plug. Along with the seat stem, you would need a lever system for it, which you should be able to do with a modern second stage part.
Then you would need to get the top and bottom boxes, and a ring to secure them. Dan has successfully made a new top and bottom box for the Titan (Trieste), and may be able to help there. I'm not sure where you should get the ring, but it can probably be manufactured. You would also need a gasket, but that shouldn't be a big problem. Dan also made modifications to a Nemrod Snark III top and bottom box to make it fit the Titan first stage.
Then you would need hoses, which I'm sure you already have.
Good luck,
John

Hi John,
I have the one with the plug. Do you have any drawing / pictures of a Titan inside?
Dan - do you have any documents to your construction?
I think I will use a USD or Nemrod Box, don´t know by now. The hoses will be no problem. Mouthpiece will either be an old one or maybe a new one from a Dräger Rebreather. They should be really good concerning the resistance.

Frank, Here's the Titan II drawings: If you'll look at part #21, it states that it is a "housing, second stage relief." It is possible that if you have this, with the seat below it, that you could make it into a seat holder with holes drilled to eject air down the intake hose. If you have a simple plug here, then you will not be able to do that. John

Frank; Here is the thread where I talked about my conversion. vintagescuba.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&n=1&thread=516&page=1 Thanks John for the schematics! If you use the Titan II first stage, you will need the Trieste second stage housing, seat, lever, etc. And you need to find a case (top box) that has a smaller hole than the Titan II so you can cut out the case to fit. That's why I used the Mistral case- the Royal or DA AquaMaster cases have the aliging tabs in the wrong position. Let me know if you have further questions... Dan
