Thanks, Linda and et al.
I have the Tacoma fully loaded and will be leaving in minutes. My wife asked that if she was going where would her stuff go? I tried to explain that a lot of this stuff was "just extra" and that actually there was plenty of room. Yeah--right. Well, next year she will come to SDIV with me, perhaps I will be able to squeeze her in somewhere! Let's see, tons of scuba gear, two DPVs, a fleet of double hose regulators, hmm, maybe we will just take two cars.
Someone need a DPV? I seem to have an extra?

James, Bob and Stan,
I'm taking a study break to wish you all a very happy birthday. As Heck Harper used to sing:
Happy Birthday, happy Happy birthday, This is your day To have a lot of fun.
Happy Birthday, happy Happy birthday, We'll keep goin' Until the day is done.
Blow out your candles and make a wish, And we'll serve everybody's favorite dish.
Happy birthday, happy Happy birthday, This is your day To...Have...A...Lot...Of...Fun!
Enjoy,
John
PS--Linda, thanks as this reminded me that I'd missed my brother's birthday last week.

Thanks all.
See you Chuck and Allan soon. The SDIII 1st Expeditionary Force should roll into Pensecola latter this evening. My Toyota which normally gets something over 20MPG was barely making 15MPG. Why, it is heavily loaded with equipment. I may stop at a garage sale along the way and get rid of some of this junk! I suppose my kayak strapped on top is not helping matters nor about 300 lbs of DPV and who knows about tanks. I think one good thing about non vintage diving is that you get to RENT nice new aluminum tanks--lol.
Chuck, whatever we do, we have to be at the picnic per the itenary. I don't want to have Allan send his muscle, Fred, to cut my hoses!!!!!
I have a paranoid fear of cold, a true and real phobia, I dreamed last night I was frozen stiff in an underwater blackness--bad omen?

Nemrod Nemrod, You would not have wanted to be on my dive today: Clackamas River, current and about 43 degrees F. Concerning cutting the hoses, I'm not on-line at the other site, but read it a bit. You could do a neat demonstration of how cutting the left hose (exhalation) didn't threaten anyone on those old Seahunt shows. 'Just a thought. John

I hope I am not piping in on a personal conversation. The hose cutting demonstration will be more likely a dummy set-up where we pull off the exhaust hose. We are going to work it out and have lots of input so that it will be fun but yet super safe. Can't wait. Allan
