Thanks, I'll try that.
I'm going to take it into my LDS next week & brainstorm with the guys over there. One guy learned on double hose regs, but he hasn't touched one (as far as servicing) for over 25 years. Plus his experience was almost exclusively Aqua Lung. So we have been pretty much in the dark on this Snark except what I've been reading here.
I may be getting a schematic of a Snark III Silver. That should help.
I'll let you know of the progress (If any).

Well, I got the schematics, and found that the rubber piece in the main housing is sandwhiched between 2 brass washers. After replacing the washer with a #5 O-ring, the overpressure valve no longer leaked. It sure helped to have a map.
di0s, if your ball that seats against that washer is ok, the only thing you should ever have to worry about would be replacing that washer.
I'm still on a mission for an adapter so I can attach a save 2nd along with an inflator.
