Anyone have a manual for a Cornelius 1500psi compressor? The model is 32-R-500.

They are. But the manuals seem to be rare. I have a little Cornelius sitting on my table I picked up for almost nothing, but I don't want to crack it open without a manual. Have a looky on Ebay those old aircrat compressors are up for sale daily it seems. Good Luck MkV

What do you need to know? I have a manual for my 1500R 3000 psi cornelius. Its a 1957 model. Still works like new. Is yours set up for compressing dive cylinders. They came in many forms. Chucko

Chucko I mostly just wanted to know things like recommended torque specs. The big question is whether I should even bother tearing this thing open unless I find problems with the pump test. Part of me leans towards the "don't fix it if it ain't broken" school. However, I am also wondering if I should clean off any old oil deposits or grunge inside before refilling it.

I have some capacity specs for the 32 series, but NO torque settings. I would never open it up. Is it a scuba compressor configuration, or military job?

I just picked it up for next to nothing for something to tinker with. Pescador775 is helping me out with making a separator/filter combo.

Today I filled 5 72 steel tanks for the DEMA DIVE this coming weekend. My 1959 Cornelius 130 R 1500 still cranks out good air just as it did 47 years ago. Vintage tank, vintage compressor equals "vintage air" You cant get any better than that!!

I have the conversion manual that Dan sells. It's specific to the Cornelius 32 series, which is what I have. I plan on building a converter to drive the 24volt motor if it works well.

Chuck, You mentioned that you had some specs for the 32 series? Do you know how much oil it takes? Thanks.
