All, Check out this link for a complete US Divers ABS system with integrated Cousteau BC and original docs. $1600? I was interested in bidding on this item to go with my UDS-1 but obviously someone wanted it more than me. :-) Regards, Ltstanfo

Ebay insanity? YES!!!!! Look at the picture. People would look at you and think you had a hoover vacuum cleaner strapped to your back. Maybe think your from outer space...... reticula 5?? For that kind of bread you can do a lot better elsewhere. Send me a private message and Ill show you where to get a terriffic set up like that, except for a third the price. Chucko

If you really want it, go for it. But the UDS-1 will be the better-breathing of the two systems. The UDS-1 does need about 6 pounds of weight on the top to make it hug the diver's back, but with this, it is really a nice system. I only have problems with it when I tear it down and put it back together every year.

When I worked at the Space and Rocket Center a few years ago (safety diver) we used the ABS rigs and I guess I am just being a little sentimental. :-) You are correct about the yearly maintenance on the UDS however... it is a pain... but worth it. DANG! I saw this listing but didn't check to see what the otcome was.. For that kind of money I'd sell my ABS rig and throw in the extra BC and my custom made single tank straps too!
