Anyone have a copy of the old US Navy Diving Manual featuring double hose regs in it?
I'd love a PDF copy, if someone could e-mail me it. I have broadband.
Plse send to: murban@twcny.rr.com
Thanks,
Mike

I'm working remotely so I can't check myself but I believe that Fred Roberts quotes the correct NAVSHIPS manual number in Basic Scuba for double hose regulator service and repair? I have never been able to get my hands on a copy of that publication but would gladly pay a reasonable fee for a copy of it.

The number for the Navy Aqua Lung instruction manual as stated in the 1958 edition of thr Navy diving manual is Nav-Ships 394-0056. I believe this is for the DA Navy not the DA Aqua Master. The 1970 edition of the manual has the overhaul instructions for the DA Aqua Master.

If anyone is interested in the US Navy Diving Manual in hard copy (for us old-fashioned folks) Abebooks.com has several copies for sale, including the 1963 and 1970 editions.

The section on the DA Aquamaster in the March 1970 edition of the U.S. Navy Diving Manual is only about 22 pages long. At my company, we have a PDF scanning machine, and I could check to see whether I could use it on off-time to make a PDF of that section. We actually have two ways of doing it, but the machine I'm familiar with has been moved, and is not yet up. Anyway, this is a possibility if someone you would be interested.

Well, I forgot to take the U.S. Navy Diving Manual, March 1970, to work today. It looks like getting the PDF of the DA Aquamaster part of the manual will only take about 5 minutes though...hopefully, sometime next week. Anyone who wants a copy, please e-mail me at:

Here it is, courtesy of John Ratliff -- the DA Aquamaster section from the US Navy Diving Manual, March 1970, in PDF format. It's a pretty big file -- could take up to 1/2 hour to download if you are on dial-up. DOWNLOAD NOW

I was considering the idea of making a set of twins out of two AL80's today. I hate steel tanks - too expensive and I like new AL tanks. I want to use a original USD J-Valve twin manifold.
I hear that makes a great salt water rig w/a wetsuit but so so good for fresh water.
Thoughts?
