What does she mean by a "current C-card"? Texas A current C-card would be a valid open-water or higher, certification card from a nationally recognized issuing organization, i.e. PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.

I guess I have never used words like "current" or "valid" in conjunction with a C-card. It implies recurrency such as pilots are required to have via Biannual Flight Reviews, required landings day and night and in the case of IFR pilots additional required approaches for a specific time interval and Medicals before being "legal" or "current" or "valid" to fly or carry passengers or utilize their ratings etc. So, I and perhaps the other fellow was concerned that there might be some requirment they need above and beyond a plain old C-card being implied by those adjectives. Sorry, did not try to split hairs or read to much into it, just did not want to drive 1,500 miles for naught either. Thanks for setting the worry to rest. Nemrod

Taildragger pilots never got those doumb medicals, where the doctor checks your.....! We flew em all the time up and down, up down faster and faster, we never worried, nobody ever looked in the window, to check when you were up there, so dont worry nobody sees you sweat while underwater. I always wear my horsecollar when flying, it attracts the "beautiful people" See you in florida.

Exactly as Nemrod stated. I have a current Pilots license, but my current C-card was issued in 1974......was concerned the diving system of instructors had just created an new requirement to help increase their wealth. Ah well, as Nemrod also said, "thanks for putting that concern to bed"

I'm like Chucko, a man with many aka's. Sorry I used the term "current" C-card. Just make sure you have your diving card with you. And if all else fails, Chuck has all the answers, Jack.

DANNY D, I am driving over and down from Kansaw so I will not be renting a car. However, you can if you wish ride with me once there and split the room as well if you wish. I will be driving a Toyota Tundra 4X4 so I doubt there will be any place we need to go that we cannot and there should be plenty of room for gear for two people. I think my wife only got a room for me with one bed so that would mean you will need an air mattress or sleeping bag etc cuz I only sleep with my wife and dogs--lol. (none of those will be with me:(, ). Let me know and we can see about upgrading the room--maybe. I get the idea you are fairly young so perhaps floors are good for you! Nemrod

I am so glad that Bryan finalized the itinerary and set the dives. Great job Bryan. I love the schedule we are going with; spending whole days at locations makes so much sense. I've made my reservations for Orange City Days Inn and the Chiefland Manatee Springs Motel locations. Would like to come up Thursday night but will drive up from Sarasota to Blue Springs Friday morning. I'll be leaving Sunday afternoon to come back home after we finish at Troy. Take care all and see you at the big dive, Jack.

I will be coming down for the old timers dive at TROY the weekend before our vintage dive. That way I can hit the hospital hole, palm lake, St Johns coin dive, and Dizzyland moat scud run! Anybody who wants to meet early during the previous few days, lets go get wett so we got wrinkles all over us and look weird when we go into Lenas! Wow now that everything is finalized how long will it be until everything is changed again. Roll that beautiful bean footage.........................................................

I've decided to come up to Blue Spring Thursday morning the 31st. I believe some of the guys coming will be there then. I'm staying at the Orange City Days Inn. I believe Bryan said he would be there on Thursday too. Please, anyone going to be there during Thursday day contact me at jwilhelm@scgov.net and let me know your whereabouts and we can get together. I'll give you my cell phone number too so we can contact each other, thanks, Jack.

I too will be at "BLUE" on the 31st to meet divers who arrive that day. Theres no reason to waste a minute and not get an earlybird look at the spring, above and BELOW. I will be in florida from the weekend before for the old timers dive at TROY, then will hit "hospital hole"! From there likely camp at alexander spring for some great hiking, and scuba coin hunting. Anyone who wants to tag along, contact me. This is going to be fun for all of us. But leave your "D" rings at home.
