The one I'm keeping for the collection: What do you think? I think it's very true to the original in color and even though the "coils" aren't really, they look like they could be.

Here I go quoting myself, again! Sorry! But this Scuba is just beautiful with its new hose loop. I didn't mention that Jeff made the repro French mp as well! I think it adds hella class to the setup!

Were yellow hoses offered for the Healthways SCUBA reg? Yes, they absolutely were, I have a dead set that I got with mine: they look really neat on the Scubas especially with a Hope-Page that has yellow bands JB

OK guys, I've color corrected the image, at least that of the hoses: The color is "yellow-orange", or goldenrod: they aren't really a true yellow, but more on the warmer end of the spectrum, whereas the weight is a cooler yellow, more on the greener end. The two pencils are a coloring pencil and a water color crayon. I hope that helps? Sorry, I no longer have my Pantone-swatches to give a number... The USD hoses I've seen are a cooler color. I'm sure you really don't want me to go on about colors, because it will give you a headache JB

So, fitting the cover on the Healthways Scuba and the Deluxe can be a pain since they didn't (inexplicably) add a flange to hold the diaphragm in place. The cover and the diaphragm slip all over the place making it hard to get ring on and the screw installed. I've seen a couple where the diaphragm is pretty distorted by improper alignment. Here's how I get the thing on easily:
Anyone else have different method?

Phil, I'm curious as to why you are fitting the first generation cover onto the second generation can? There is no exhalation horn then! I think Healthways made a decision to not make this particular conversion easy. I went the opposite direction, and fitted the Goldie innards into a first generation can/cover. It works well that way. This shows the exhaust chamber with the rubber band over the auxiliary holes for backup exhaust. Note the nitril clean room glove material used as an exhalation diaphragm. John
