Hello, another possibility, but not with peacock model, (peacok is different than next model, the oprv hole is close from the body , there are not enough distance from the body to place a splitter), is using a splitter with an octo downstream valve. Like this, the octo downstream valve is also the oprv. Cheer's Fred IMG_4274 by Patrick Michel, sur Flickr For the eary Snarks, with the peacock top box, I make an adapter based on the very rare Nemrod accessory that replaces the second stage plug. This one can't be used with a pillar tank valve, so I also make an adapter that replaces the OPRV.

Hello Phil Standard splitter all in 3/8. On all snark, that I owned the lp oprv port are in 3/8 My Snark IIIs and Silvers have OPV ports that are M10x1.0. 3/8 x 24 is very close, but threads are slightly coarser and the diameter is slightly smaller at 9.45mm (10mm male end on fitting measures at 9.86mm). A 3/8 x 24 fitting screws into mine, but it is very loose. Are you positive yours is 3/8"? Hello Phil, Thanks for the information, I really think that it was 3/8, I am gone check , when I come back home , with a thread tool. When I screw the splitter I do not fell resistance, that is why I thought that it was 3/8. About the HP port 7/16??? Edit 13/09/2023🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 correction HP seems to be 3/8

I am not positive what the HP port threads are, but probably they are imperial b/c I think they were made to accept a standard hose. The LP cover adapter made by Nemrod had a female 3/8 x 24 port for standard LP hoses.
Everything else on the Snark is metric.

Mine was pretty bad, and yours looks similarly awful! But, mine has a good diaphragm, and the first and second stages are clean. I hope you are as lucky with the internals!

They are clean now, and they breath, but on the first it was not the good pin, too long so the IP is unstable, and the second stage spring must be changed. The second, with a good diaphragm, there a little leak due to a old second stage seat. I must find a solution. Or make one with these two. Cheer's Fred

The puck can be changed. A hole needs to be drilled in the new one to fit over the stem. I think a black USD puck would be easier to manage than the squishy blue silicone. I made a second stage poppet out of a modded USD LP poppet and a custom turned stem. I put a point on the end to facilitate the puck installation, but it could be done over the oem stem.

The oem poppet looks like this:

I'm going to make a couple more second stage poppets, just for fun. The post will be pointed and threaded 5-40. It's a decent match for the oem stem.

Cheer's Fred The HP pin on my newest Snark III doesn't seem right. The head is too small in diameter and wobbles in the button's pin socket. OR the button is wrong. It might be a USD part? I'll probably make a new pin out of a short Conshelf pin.

Yes, there are two types of HP pin that I've seen. The Silvers have a different one than the IIIs. Here is an LP poppet I just made. It's a USD poppet puck cup and a brass stem I turned. It will have a 4-40 nut on it, when I get some SS nuts.
