How's the diaphragm? That sure looks like a Sportsways (I'm not saying it is)... The snap ring is very much like the Healthways second style they used: Neato! Jaybird

DD, would you please try to swap out the diaphragms between the White Stag and the Sportsways: I want to see if they take the same one!
Dang, that is a really pretty reg: also, can you give us a better shot of the first stage?

Jaybird and Don, I just checked the diaphragms of my plastic White Stag DEEP second stage with metal Sportsways, and my plastic Sherwood Maxium Blizzard, and they all have different diameter diaphragms. I also see why I liked my White Stag DEEP second stage over the MR-12; it has silicone diaphragm and a silicone non-return with only three "spokes" on the wagon wheel. White Stag started its Watersports Division in 1962, according to Fred Roberts in his short write-up of the company's regulators in Basic Scuba. Their first regulator was a very weird tilt valve which breathed through the diaphragm like a Calypso. So they have a history of doing their own thing with regulators. One example of that first regulator is now on E-Bay: www.ebay.com/itm/Early-Vintage-White-Stag-International-Regulator-Reg-2nd-Stage-Second-Super-Rare-/131387891776?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e97542040John

John, I saw that one too: that's an awful lot of money for one that's in such poor condition, I don't care how rare it is Dang, I was hoping they were the same sizes as I was wanting to find one: oh well, I should find something smaller and cheaper to collect these days... well I gotta keep telling myself this anyway; I'm sure Don has been having this conversation with himself as of late too "Oh man.... that one looks soooooo cool though, just one more won't hurt nuthin'..." and then, "Oh $#!+, run, my scuba gear collection is causing a sink-hole where the garage used to be..." SNORT! Jaybird

I too have been watching it as it gets relisted, and relisted, and relisted... I thought I saw it on there last year and it didn't sell. And there it is again. Ebay's email notification works well. Heck, I should throw my Divair on there at $275 too. It would never sell. Even if I threw in the valves that I've collected for it. Back to reality, what was the diameter of your White Stag, John? If mine is the same I'll not bother looking for my Sportsways. I haven't had a chance to put more pics of the first stage on Photobucket, but I'll try to do so this weekend. I noticed the one you linked to before JB, but there is little info about each reg on their site, and most links only say more to come. I bet maintaining a site like that would be a quite an undertaking. As for my garage getting full. I can't afford a garage. I buy too much vintage SCUBA stuff Don

Don, I just compared my different second stage diaphragms, and found some interesting things out: --My metal White Stage is the same diaphragm diameter as the older Scubapro diaphragms. --My plastic Sherwood Magnum Blizzard fits the Sportsways Sport Diver II. --My plastic White Stag diaphragm fits my USD Calypso second stage. --Healthways doesn't fit anything, and is incompatible with everything! I at first thought my Healthways diaphragm must be metric, but it measures 8.15 cm; 3 and an 1/8th plus a bit inches. I don't know where they came up with that diameter, other than the must have decided on the metal outline, then made the diaphragm to fit it. Here is the Scubapro regulator second stage I used. John

"Healthways doesn't fit anything, and is incompatible with everything!"SNORT! I think their second generation might be the same as ScubaPro: I'm talking about the one with the metal-tee, more squared off, and the two piece clamp that holds the cover on. Jaybird

Hey John, good to know. Are diaphragms for the older scubapro available?

I may be wrong, but I don't think Scubapro has changed their diaphragm size for a long, long time. 'Same with USD/Aqualung.

By jingo, I was right, it's a perfect fit, that being the weird Healthways and ScubaPro...

Thanks again John. Looks like mine is a Depth Finder like our friend indicated above. The model in JB's link appears to be the Fathom Diver, a model that incorporates a reserve in the first stage. Now I want one of them too! Thanks! Don
